Peter Berg directed QB1: Beyond the Lights, a 2017 American documentary web television TV series. It began as a Go90 series and was eventually streamed on Netflix.

Each season follows three senior quarterbacks from various backgrounds as they compete in their final season before advancing to NCAA Division I college football. Today, It is one of the most popular sports series to watch on the OTT platform.

The series is a sports documentary and takes a behind-the-scenes peek at the life of top CFB quarterback recruits. The show follows the story of very talented high school quarterbacks as they go about their daily lives and tell their stories with their audiences.
We see them at practices, school, at home, even in hotel rooms or locker rooms before games. Producer Peter Berg went above and above to acquire live-action on each player in order and then see what the variations are, between different players. This includes each player’s school’s reputation, status, and even their culture.

The life of these high school quarterbacks is captured magnificently in the documentary. It gives the viewers a peek into how they’re local celebrities who have been interviewed and photographed; even though they are still developing teenagers who are fumbling into adulthood, with parents who both support and worry about them

Tayvon Bowers, who was originally assigned to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, was then transferred to the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs.

Jake Fromm was playing for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Tate Martell was a member of the Ohio State Buckeyes before being traded to the Miami Hurricanes.

The series was supposed to be released in 2024, however, it was postponed because of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
While the series has been rescheduled for a while, it has not been canceled. It might get released at any time.
